CINDERELLA

We had great fun rehearsing and performing our annual pantomime in December and we have had good reviews.

Here is what the Somerset Fellowship of Drama had to say about our latest production – ‘Cinderella’ by David Maun:

"This evening (Thursday 10th December) I made my way to the outskirts of Bath where the Timsbury Theatre Group were presenting Cinderella. I hadn’t witnessed watching this society before so was eager to check out their standards. Judging by the amount of Nominations and Awards on their notice board I had sussed that I was going to be in for a great evening’s entertainment. I was certainly not to be disappointed.

A strong cast including Buttons, the Ugly Sisters and those ‘Krazy Kops’ held this show together with comical flair.

There was much banter especially between Gwyneth and Gwendoline milking it for it was worth to try and get a nomination!! (their words – not mine!)

I also loved Bill (word perfect too!) who never seemed to get caught by the Bill!

Costumes were to a high standard although Cinders needed to look more tatty in her appearance.

The ‘wanted poster’ on the tree was superbly thought through and the arrival of Cinderella’s horses and carriage was most breath-taking and magical. What a way to close Act one.

Here was a pantomime certainly worth driving 50 miles to see.
